Vicki is the founder of The Sleepwalking Effect™ and creator of Campaign 195, a project which asks the same leadership question to one woman, in every country in the world. A TEDx speaker, she has spoken on three continents to thousands of leaders, and her upcoming business book is called No Permission Required.

Vicki Tyler was President of Flight Centre USA, where she grew sales from $3 million to $27 million over two years. She went on to build a multi-million dollar real estate development enterprise, and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology to put the science behind mental skills, she had already been using for decades.

The drive behind the work traces back to her early twenties, when after five years of backpacking, which she calls the University of Life, she experienced two near-death spinal accidents. These lit a fire. She started asking what life would look like lived fearlessly, and has spent every year since finding out. 

Campaign 195 seeks to discover why capable women in leadership still hesitate to speak up. The findings go to the United Nations, targeted for International Women’s Day 2027.

Vicki is obsessed with wasted human potential, and helping individuals and companies access more of it. Leadership is a goal many aspire to. The privilege that comes the moment the title is earned carries weight that often goes unexplored, and those who suffer are the very people that privilege was earned to lead.

Science overwhelmingly shows behavioural patterns can be interrupted and mental skills can be learned. This is her area of expertise.

She is a wife, Mum/Mom to two sons and a dual New Zealand-US citizen, which she says provides a David and Goliath perspective of the world.
